SSS Strat Wiring
Keep the classic three-single-coil Strat setup while upgrading the electronics and adding options for expanded pickup combinations.
Our range includes traditional 5-way Strat wiring as well as advanced configurations such as 7-way switching and blender controls, allowing you to access sounds that aren't available from a standard 5-way switch.
HSS & HSH Strat Wiring
HSS and HSH guitars combine Strat-style single coils with one or more humbuckers, creating additional considerations for the electronics.
ObsidianWire's Custom HSS / HSH Gen2 uses intelligent switching to provide 500K operation for the humbucker and 250K operation for the single coils, helping each pickup type work with an appropriate control load. It also offers automatic coil splitting, with an optional 7-way/Gilmour modification.
7-Way Strat Wiring
A standard Stratocaster 5-way switch gives you five pickup combinations. A 7-way Strat wiring harness adds access to the neck + bridge combination and all three pickups together.
ObsidianWire's Custom '7 WAY' for Strat // Gilmour Mod provides these additional combinations while retaining the familiar Strat control layout.
Strat Blender Wiring
A blender control gives you continuously variable control over additional pickup combinations rather than simply adding another switch position.
Depending on the configuration, a blender can introduce the bridge pickup into the neck position or combine all three pickups, providing a wider range of sounds while retaining a familiar Strat-style control layout.
The Universal Blender for Strat supports SSS, HSS, HSH and HHH pickup configurations.
